Lawn Work in a Town Built to a Plan
Hydroseeding in Celebration is mostly about repair and renovation in yards that were designed as part of a whole. The Disney Development Company planned the town on about 4,900 acres, with landscape, parks and trails designed by EDAW and an architectural pattern book guiding the houses. The first homes went up in Celebration Village, West Village and Lake Evalyn in 1996. After nearly three decades, many of those lawns are ready for work.
Renovating older planned-community lawns
Lawns from the first phases have seen decades of irrigation changes, tree growth and wear. When a lawn is more weed than grass, we strip it, loosen the soil, fix grade at walks and drives and hydroseed fresh. Where enough turf survives, overseeding fills it back in without starting over.
Keeping it neat
In a community built around consistent streetscapes, a messy job stands out. We mask walks and drives, keep green slurry off fences and siding, and clean up the same day. Check with your neighborhood's rules about lawn type before we start.
Ponds and trails
Celebration has more than 23 miles of nature trails, and the village around Lake Evalyn includes a small lake with ducks, alligators and the occasional otter. Common areas near water and trail edges see more foot traffic and runoff than a front yard. Banks and swales do better with erosion control blankets or a heavier mulch rate.
Later phases and artisan lots
After the first villages came North, South and East Villages, Aquila Reserve and Artisan Park, built by several developers. Newer phases have younger lawns but sometimes thinner topsoil around foundations and between homes. Fine grading and a little topsoil fix most of those problems.

Celebration Questions
Do I need approval before renovating my Celebration lawn?
Check your neighborhood's guidelines first. Celebration was built to design standards, and some areas have rules about lawn appearance.
Our lawn is from the late 1990s. Repair or start over?
If it is mostly weeds or bare patches, a full renovation usually gives a better result than patching. If the turf is just thin, overseeding works.
Will green slurry get on our sidewalk or fence?
We mask hard surfaces and rinse any overspray before we leave.
Can you seed the bank behind our house that faces a pond?
Yes. Pond-facing banks get erosion control blankets or extra hydromulch so the first storms do not wash them.
